FIA President Jean Todt will flag off the New Energies Rallye

27.4.2016

A great personality of world motorsports will arrive to the Czech Republic at the end of May. FIA President Jean Todt will take part in the opening ceremony of the 5th New Energies Rallye Český Krumlov in the historic centre of the town listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The visit of the top representative of FIA means the culmination of the 4-year long efforts of organizers from ČK motorsport and ÚAMK Automotoklub Rallye Český Krumlov to have the competition for cars with alternative energy propulsion included in the calendar of the world championship FIA Alternative Energies Cup.

The Frenchman Jean Todt (born February 25, 1946), former co-driver in car rallies, later on a boss of Ferrari F1 racing team and the closest collaborator of Michael Schumacher, will visit the Czech republic for the first time since 2012, again at the invitation of the ÚAMK President, JUDr. Oldřich Vaníček.

The program of the South Bohemian visit of Jean Todt during Thursday, May 26, will be made available in the next days. Detailed information on the New Energies Rallye Český Krumlov is available on the official website of the competition, www.rallye-newenergies.cz.
